Or so I imagine.
For us, hello is start. Our beginning. Our ready, set, go.
Because when I say hello to you,
it means I missed you
and I can’t wait
to tell you stories of all the adventures I have been on
since the last time we have talked
(but I want to hear your stories first
because your voice makes me smile)
Hello is our secret. Our right now. When we say hello
we know we are the only two people in the whole wide world
who get it.
Maybe we will let someone in on the joke someday
but for now we laugh. (it’s more fun this way)
Hello is our future, because when I say hello to you
it means I am glad you are here
and I couldn’t wait another minute because
I am so excited for all the fun we will have
this
